BRB
I am about to embark on a journey to Washington DC this weekend for the Jon Stewart rally to restore sanity. I am going to try and gain insight, share insight, and leave with liberation to come back to the real world and continue to try and be (as Gandhi states) "the change you wish to see in the world"
I really want to write something big after I return.... so be back soon! Everyone stay gold!

“I gotta work out. I keep saying it all the time. I keep saying I gotta start working out. It's been about two months since I've worked out. And I just don't have the time. Which uh..is odd. Because I have the time to go out to dinner. And uh..and watch tv. And get a bone density test. And uh.. try to figure out what my phone number spells in words.”
“I was raised around heterosexuals, as all heterosexuals are, that's where us gay people come from... you heterosexuals.”
"I don't understand the sizes anymore. There's a size zero, which I didn't even know that they had. It must stand for: "Ohhh my God, you're thin."
- Ellen Degeneres
Let em all hang out!
A bunch of my friends and me gathered around a bonfire last night. Somehow the topic of women's invisible requirement to shave, buy "feminine hygiene" products, and BRAS got brought up. I admitted my laziness for shaving backed up by the reasons I think it's ridiculous men look at shaveless women as gross and unclean....hello boys you don't shave EITHER. And the need for propping your boobs up and avoiding the sagging. After I wrote my journal from the perspective of my pissed off boobs that wanted freedom I occasionally stopped wearing the plastic band. I bought a new bra when I went home Thursday and burned it Friday in the fire. Now I am bra-less due to forgetting to bring some with me back home. Good thing my mom is out of town she would make me buy a new one! My friend actually felt the liberation around the fire and threw hers in as well. The boys laughed but also felt our revolt!! The only other girl around couldn't throw hers due to the fact it was a 50 dollar Victoria’s Secret bra....I mean that's reasonable I guess....but let me tell you
GOOD MORNING LIBERATION !!

Looking around at people, especially people on campus, I notice diversity in ways people are walking, talking, looking, and overall acting. What a group of ten girls do, you turn and look and notice men doing it as well. Every guy I've dated has his fair share of feminine qualities, and I find myself sitting in different ways, wearing dresses or tshirt and baggy pants, sometimes I wear my hood up too.....sometimes I'll wear makeup and go out with my girls, other nights I choose to go skateboard in an alley. There is more diversity than there has been.
