I have been pondering lately the idea of opening a thrift store someday. The money for the clothes would be donated to families in that area struggling with poverty. People who donate clothes should write on a piece of paper something about themselves; a fact about them, a fun fact in general, a message, the article of clothings story, or even the owners in general, etc. People will be able to purchase clothes and pass on others' stories. The intention of this thrift store is to not only have the community help the community through donations but it also gives people the chance to share. Something is passed on and the clothing article takes on a new value with meaning (and also works well in keeping conversations flowing after someone compliments your new find!). Just an idea.
